   We get things started at 8:30 this year, with a  continental breakfast courtesy of Lutheran Church Extension Fund (LCEF).
     This year, we are emphasizing the financial end of things, with Tim Dittloff, District Vice President for LCEF, who will be speaking on the mission and ministry of LCEF, and how seniors can particpate in the building of the kingdom through investments and giving opportunities.
     Cindy Mangan will again be on hand to provide us with the topic of “The Power of Good Nutrition”.  Cindy is  a Diet Technician from LutheranLiving Services.
     Cynthia Kalies, Chaplain at LutheranLiving Services, encourages us with her message “The Spirituality of Aging” and reminds us that we are never too old to grow in our faith-walk with Jesus.
     Finally, a representative from Ozaukee Aging Services will provide us with a video with discussion to follow on elder choices and “getting your house together”
     Pastor Robert Lindau, Senior Pastor of Trinity, will start us off with a devotion at 8:30 a.m., following a continental breakfast.

OUR SENIORFEST ’06 SESSIONS:
“The Power of Good Nutrition” – from Cindy Mangan from LutheranLiving Services;
“Building the Kingdom with Your Investments” - from Tim Dittloff, District Vice President, Lutheran Church Extension Fund
“Getting Your House in Order” – A video, then discussion on elder choices in Ozaukee County from Ginger Ayres of Ozaukee Aging Services;

Seniors Ministry Workers Roundtable Discussion—Those who work with their church’s seniors ministry are asked to be a part of a roundtable discussion to brainstorm ideas for the South Wisconsin District’s Older Adults Committee.

     We will have a box lunch catered by the folks at the Kurt Schulz Deli in Germantown.
     After two more sessions in the afternoon, we will be taking you on a tour of Trinity’s historical grounds, which include log cabins and barns which date back to the 1830’s.
     LutheranLiving Services will be making transportation available to and from Trinity.  Contact LutheranLiving Servies Chaplain Cynthia Kalies (414-258-6170) to reserve a spot on one of their buses.
     In addition to providing transportation assistance, LutheranLiving Services will have representatives present to provide information on health and nutrition, nursing home FAQ’s, and information on the services provided by LutheranLiving Services.  And...LutheranLiving Servies is also sponsoring our afternoon snack at SeniorFest! ‘06!

TOUR THE HISTORICAL GROUNDS OF FREISTADT

     SeniorFest has become an annual event for older adults in the Southeastern Wisconsin.  We’ve made a tradition of capping off SeniorFest with a guided tour of Trinity Freistadt’s historical grounds. This tour will take you through a log cabin and several other barns and out- buildings that have been restored to look the way they did 165 years ago.
     All this for only $10!  You can’t go wrong!  Register for this event by calling the church/school office at Trinity Freistadt – 262-242-2045, or by emailing Rick Adams at radams@trinityfreistadt.com. Or you can mail in the registration form included in this brochure.  Make checks payable to Trinity Lutheran Church.
