Who is the Splashed With Promise For?
Parents of newly baptized, or soon to be baptized infants (or children) along with grandparents, sponsors, & older siblings.

Why a Baptism Workshop?
To educate and equip parents and families to understand that the home is the primary place for faith development; to provide parents with resources to make their homes a rich environment for faith formation; to explain the doctrine of infant baptism.

Length & Time of Classes
We will be meeting on the Sundays of November 13th and 27th, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. in the Schedler Resource Center. Childcare will be provided for your little one(s), and Sunday School is offered for 3 year olds and up.

Who will be leading the workshop?
Director of Youth & Family Ministry Rick Adams will be leading the workshop, along with contributions from members of Trinity’s Board of Family Ministry.

Is there a cost?
No—it’s all free. Each participant will receive a copy of the booklet “Welcome to the Family by Richard A Melheim, along with a booklet called “A Word to My Sponsor”. There will also be a table of resources on the topic of Baptism—some of which are free, and some of which are available to you at a nominal price.

Who Else is Invited?
You don’t have to be a new parent or soon-to-be parent. Anyone can come and use this workshop as a refresher on the Lutheran understanding of the Sacrament of Holy Baptism, and how to effectively raise your children for Christ. We also encourage couples who are expecting to invite other unchurched couples to come and learn about what we believe as Lutherans concerning infant baptism.
