Provides care for children 3, 4 and 5 years of age (confidently toilet learned)
The Experimenter Room is the last stop in TLECC’s childcare program. Children are eligible to transition into the Experimenter Room if they are three years old by September 1st, confidently toilet learned, and developmentally ready. While children in the Experimenter Room still get to enjoy all the true play and discovery they are used to from the other rooms, we begin to lay the foundation for the next step: Kindergarten!
Through their play investigation, children in the Experimenter Room gain the self-confidence, perseverance, and problem-solving skills that will empower them in kindergarten and beyond. Independence and self-sufficiency are promoted in everything we do. We believe that children learn best through authentic applications using loose parts and when intrinsically motivated; therefore, we utilize a child-led format instead of a formal “circle time” and crafts.
Children in the Experimenter Room are welcome to enroll in Trinity’s preschool program. Children may choose full-time or part-time preschool for both 3k and 4k and attend childcare when not in school. A childcare discount is available for children who attend TLECC and Trinity preschool in the same day. Please contact the school office for preschool enrollment information.
We have an open door policy. Parents are welcome to visit or call the center at any time.
